Day 6 llano to Lake Brownwood Tx 92 Miles
This is the longest ride of the trip but what you expect for TEXAS. We will leave Llano headed north to Cherokee on highway16 continuing on the San Saba. This area is one of those areas where it may not be the end of the world but you can see it from there. Just the type of area that makes me home sick for Kansas. The only problem is finding a place to get food and water. Kye will stock up for this area. It will be a good training area because we will go through a lot of these areas.
At San Saba we will hit US 190 toward Richland Springs. In Richland Springs we hit FM 45 which will take us into Brownwood.
Then onto Lake Brownwood for a rest day with my good Boy Scout Leader friend Ed and his wife Kay. Ed has promised a great Bar-B-Que dinner. It sounds great as long I don’t have to do the dishes. Ed will know what I mean
The training ride also lived up to a Texas type ride. The ride followed of Day 3 ride but it just kept going on and on. The wind was only a factor from mile 33 to mile 40 but it was enough to get our attention.
Kye refreshed her moving rest stop skills. She never fails to be prepared for anything. She as plenty of food and liquids along with a wide verity of both.
I was definitely glad to make it back home and hit the lawn chair and more refreshments.
We are ready for our first day off.
I just want to know if you still have your Samurai Dishwasher skills
