Round 2 – Training and Fundraising begins. This time for the Southern Tier.

As you know, last year I rode the TransAM route for the BiketheUSforMS to bring attention to MS and to check off a major item on my bucket list.  I was happy to complete the bucket list item but my desire to help those with MS continues.

I saw first hand last year, during the ride, the affect we had on those with Multiple Sclerosis.  We had people with MS stop us on the road or come to our camp sites to tell us how much they appreciated what we were doing.  We also felt their warmth and love when we were able to do a service project for them.  At numerous nightly stops for rest days, people with MS would come and tell us what they are going thru with MS.  This made an impact on us so when we were having a long day with a  strong headwind or a steep climb we could remember that our pain was temporary but theirs isn’t, at least yet.

Working at the National MS office, here in Houston Texas, as a volunteer two mornings a week, has shown me what we can do to support people with  MS.  The money directly helps those with MS as well as MS research.  Together we can help eliminate MS and what a great day that will be!

    Hi Dave,

    I did the online donation like I did before but I didn’t get a receipt thru my email and I need that for the match…

    Maybe because it’s the weekend? Not sure but is the someone you can contact to make sure I get a receipt so you get the extra money?
